Privacy policy
This page explains what happens to the personal data you give us: the email address you use to join the Moyawe early access list, and anything you send us through the feedback form. We ask for nothing else.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Maximilian Cajic, Absberggasse 45A, 1100 Vienna, Austria, operating the website moyawe.com. You can reach us at hello@moyawe.com for anything on this page.
What we collect, and why
When you submit the form on our site we collect your email address. Our email provider may also record the date you signed up, your IP address, and whether you opened or clicked our emails.
We use it for exactly two things:
- To tell you when Moyawe launches and to give you early access.
- To send occasional founder updates about the product's progress.
We do not sell it, rent it, or share it for advertising. We will not send you anything unrelated to Moyawe.
Legal basis for the list
We rely on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Our signup uses confirmed (double) opt-in: submitting the form does not add you to the list. We email you a confirmation link first, and you are only subscribed once you click it. You can withdraw consent at any time — see below — and that does not affect anything we sent before you withdrew it.
Who else sees it
Your address is stored with Kit (formerly ConvertKit), which sends our emails on our behalf as a data processor under contract. Their own privacy policy is at kit.com/privacy.
Kit is based in the United States, so your address is transferred outside the EU/EEA. Kit relies on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and the International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA), included within its Data Processing Addendum, to lawfully transfer subscriber personal data from the EU, the UK and Switzerland to the United States.
Our site and our own mailbox are hosted by Hostinger, which processes standard server logs and handles email sent to and from hello@moyawe.com.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe, or until 24 months after the launch list closes — whichever comes first. When you unsubscribe we delete your address, keeping only the minimum record needed to make sure we do not email you again.
The feedback form
If you send us a suggestion, we receive your message and — only if you choose to give it — your email address, so that we can reply. Both arrive as an email in our own mailbox at hello@moyawe.com. They are not added to the early access list and are not shared with anyone. We keep them for as long as it takes to read and answer them, and delete them on request.
So the form cannot be used to flood us with spam, it limits how many messages can be sent in an hour. To do that it keeps a one-way, keyed hash of your IP address with the times of your recent messages — never the IP address itself, and the hash cannot be turned back into it.
Legal basis: your consent in sending the message (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), and for the spam limit our legitimate interest in keeping the form usable (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the data we hold about you;
- correct it if it is wrong;
- delete it;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- send it to you, or another provider, in a portable format.
Email hello@moyawe.com and we will action it within one month. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
Unsubscribing
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link in the footer. One click and you are off the list — you do not need to email us or give a reason.
Children
Moyawe is not directed at children. You must be 13 or older to join the early access list or to use the feedback form, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone younger. If you believe a child has given us their details, email hello@moyawe.com and we will delete them.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising, analytics or session-recording tools. Our fonts are served from our own server, so loading a page does not contact Google or any other third party. The one thing kept on your device is a session flag so the opening animation plays once per visit; it holds no identifier and your browser drops it when the tab closes. The cookie policy covers this in full.
Changes
If this policy changes materially before launch we will email everyone on the list rather than quietly editing this page.
